There was lots of receptor binding in these videos, so to keep things interesting we gave the molecules a bit of weight as they snap into place. In order to keep a firm grip on art directability, we used hand animation to create all the effects instead of simulation.

A sequence of two shots showing how a molecule designed to bind to receptors on T-Cells and Tumor cells can help T-Cells target Tumor cells for destruction. The rig was an interesting trick since I wanted the parenting order to change as the molecule bound first to one cell, then to both.
